Obesity is the enemy of adults and children

The young man is plagued by a lot of fat on his belly, i.e. obesity.

Obesity is becoming an undesirable condition that threatens virtually all of humanity. It is not a disease like, for example appendicitis. Its course, however, is not a pleasant one. Everyone probably correctly suspects that behind this expression hides overweight. It can have several causes.

  • High intake of sweet
  • Stress
  • Little movement

Added to this, of course, are sleep deprivation, children sitting in front of TV screens and smartphones, and smoking and excessive drinking among adults.

Poor diet and obesity go hand in hand

There is no point in fooling yourself, it is the inappropriate food intake that largely takes care of the visible excess weight. If you don't want your children were plagued by obesity, you need to include as many healthy foods as possible in their diet.

What foods can be considered appropriate for obesity?

Parents can take care of childhood obesity basically from the birth of their child. Positive factors include, for example, breastfeeding. Add to healthy foods regular breakfast and last but not least, movement.

Childhood overweight is dangerous

As such, childhood obesity is not just about the fact that a child is fat at first glance and may hear a lot of abuse from his peers. There are primarily health risks and difficulties. It all starts with poor quality sleep, for example, and will continue with vascular disease. Obese people generally suffer from diseases of the respiratory system and have digestive problems.

Obesity is also associated with endocrine abnormalities and metabolic syndrome. It can then result in unwanted diabetes. The list of dangerous conditions could certainly go on and on - skin problems and mental disturbances.

The calculation of overweight in children and adults is based on the BMI value. Behind this abbreviation is the Body Mass Index, which assesses a person's obesity. This should be a kind of imaginary stepping stone in looking for possible problems. The sooner you start fighting obesity, the better.
