Of course, you can also participate in time-limited races. At the beginning there is no distance, but the time you run. Hour races are well known, but also twenty-four hour races. The winner is the one who runs the most kilometres.

Cross-country races in details

Leaving aside the shorter races of around ten to fifteen kilometres, the first imaginary challenge for you will be the half marathon. This is a stepping stone into the world of endurance events. During it, the you will learn to calculate your running speed and your own endurance. An extreme challenge is the ultramarathon, which will teach you to decompose your strength primarily in your head. A lot of physical forces are controlled from here, so you have to learn to control your body on all fronts. Ultramarathons are usually associated with mountain sections.

The moment you become an experienced runner, you will be challenged by running races of the type Twenty-Four Hours. These most often take place in the countryside and can also be linked to the urban area. So you will experience all kinds of terrain. This type of race is about testing and pushing physical limits.
