What does Stud Poker mean?
Everyone will notice one thing. This type of game is referred to as Stud Poker. Before explaining the rules of Seven Card Stud, let us tell you the meaning of the word "stud". This is the exact word used to refer to poker variants. One part of the cards are turned over face up. Second part face down. At the beginning of everything, three cards are dealt, one of which is open and two of which are closed. That is, two are face down and one is face up.
It is the player with the lowest card revealed. After this first round of betting, four more cards are then dealt.
The English names are based on when the cards are dealt. This means forth street, fifth street, sixth street and seventh street. The fourth through sixth cards are open and the seventh card is face down, i.e. closed.
In the case of Seven Card Stud, the player with the best open hand is the one who has the best hand.
